New developments!
It seems that Lorant does not have the backing of the Fenerbahce officials anymore after his fight with the Argentine Ariel Ortega and could be sacked as early as tomorrow or Sunday some report. This is not the only player Lorant has had a feud with others include popular players like Abdullah, Oktay and recently Revivo, also the ongoing feud with his assistant coach. Should be good news for Fenerbahce fans, get Nejat Biyedic he will do much more with this squad then any other will.

Wow I cant believe that Aziz Yildirim still insists on keeping Lorant around   Ortega will train with the team and I don't think he will be talking to Lorant much.

Lorant will definitely be out as Fenerbahce are having talks with two Brazilian coaches Zico and Perreira who has already coached with Fenerbahce in the past.

I want Capello, only Capello, imegine Fenerbahçe with Ortega,Revivo and Capello together.

İn my opinion Fatih Terim and Capello two best coaches in the world,Terim Galatasaray,Capello Fener coach, imegine derby matches in İstanbul!!! Am I sooooo dreamer??

I think money is not problem for Yıldırım,if he really wants??!! But probably Capello happy with Roma, many big teams want him anyway,I think I am dreamer:)

Capello is going to be the coach of Italy soon Hee Hee :) As soon as Trapattoni get sacked Capello will leave Roma, why do you think he is making Roma play bad?? Think about it. J/K I'm just messin around but kind of makes you think.

Fenerbahce get knocked out of the Turkish cup by 2 Lig. Konyaspor 1-0. Konyaspor forwards made Fenerbahce look foolish especially that kid Faruk, that kid had a great game and could have had 3 goals!! I only watched from the second half on but it was a fast paced game with Konyaspor playing a more attractive style than Fenerbahce. Well Fenerbahce have nothing to hope for except the league title and that's not going to happen because guess who is their coach??. Lorant has Fenerbahce eliminated from the Champions League 1, he's still the coach, has Fenerbahce eliminated in disgraceful fashion in the Uefa Cup 2, he's still the coach. Now they get kicked out of the Turkish Cup by a second division team. Let's see if your president has the balls to kick him out. Fenerbahce is Turkiye's Italy, the fans hope for losses so that Lorant can gooo. That last statement is just my opinion and I'm not a Fenerbahce fan so I wouldn't know. :p

Did you hear about how Fatih Akyel and Revivo got into a fight at halftime of their loss to Konyaspor? If a president of a team does not like his players and wants to be shitty he should hire Werner Lorant. Then the players will be fighting your team will get knocked out of every competition and the millions of dollars spent on an Argentinian player who never sees the bench for a national team like Argentina will be sitting on the bench on a team like Fenerbahce!! Fenerbahce is no Argentina stupid Lorant and Aziz Yildirim!

Wow Fenerbahce lose to the lowest scoring team of the Super Lig Diyarbakirspor 3-0, players fighting with each other on the field. Stevic going after Fatih Akyel, Ortega fighting with Ceyhun looks like the Turkish players vs. Foreign ones. This team will not win the Super Lig for sure. The goalie Oguz made 3 mistakes and all three were goals against also the referee sucked big time he made the worst calls and didn't give a penalty to Diyarbakirspor when the Fenerbahce goalie intentionally tripped one of the players. this referee is shitty but Diyarbakir deserved their win today they played much better.

In their first game under new coach Oguz Cetin Fenerbahce couldn't score anything as they tied Goztepe 0-0. Ceyhun sukks anyone who saw the game will know what I'm talking about. He ruined the Fenerbahce attack the whole game since minute 1. Yet he didn't come out of the game until the 76th minute and then got into a verbal argument with his own fans, what an idiot. Tuncay played great he almost had a goal that was cleared off the line by the Goztepe defenders same with Samuel Johnson. Rustu's relacement Oguz played awesome too he made some nice saves. Rapaic started for the first time this season and he played good too, but there was not much communication with the midfield and forwards and the game was a deserved tie.

Do you know who really sucks?? Aziz Yildirim! I hope he gets beat up soon if things still go bad and they will go bad as these players keep acting like little babies. Fatih Akyel likes to blame everyone but himself when something goes wrong, he especially likes to pick on the goalie Oguz. He's a good player but still has that Galatasaray temper in him Hee Hee :D

After that time I will never watch any Fener game,Fenerbahçe is my biggest enemy in the world,Revivo will go to Hamburg,İsraeli was the star of our team BUT now he is leaving.....

Good-bye Haim,good-bye Fener....:(

After that time VIVA GALATASARAY!!

Heyyy Fenerbahce does not suck lol u cant blame a team for losing when they had a nutjob of a coach like Lorant who couldnt utalise a team and his own brain (no offence to any1 that likes him altho im sure no one does ). Fenerbahce aren't the only ones who are interested in Batista, Fulham FC and some Japanesse team are also keen on him.

I feel your pain the local football team i suport brought in this coach who didnt have a brain the size of a pea and brought in so much frustration within the club it was horrible we would lose on endless streaks when we should have won the god damn grandfinal to go to the next higher division. LoL neway i guess its sad to see it happens everywhere.

Yeah and it is amazing to see what a coaching change can do for a team. My Revs were in last place...the worst team in the league...midway through the season, the coach was fired, and they made it all the way to the cup finals. Sometimes a coaching change is all it takes for a team. Cant have a complete moron running things.

Fenerbahce beat a strong team of the Bundesliga Werder Bremen 5-1 today in some Efes Pilsen Cup action, other teams in the tournament are PSV Eindhoven, Trabzonspor, Spartak Moskova, Hertha Berlin. the referee of this game looked like he was 16 and made a bad penalty call in favor of Fenerbahce but it didn't matter cause Fenerbahce just destroyed them Werder were all over the place.

Trabzon won the Efes Pilsen Cup 2 tournament today after beating Fenerbahce 2-1 in the final game. Trabzon are showing some good things. Selahattin, Erman, Gokdeniz who had a lot of chances this game, Fatih Tekke, the goalie Petkovic are all good players they look ready for the second half of the season as for Fenerbahce they still look the same, win one game 5-1 then lose, always inconsistent. Besiktas and Galatasaray will be chasing for the championship while Trabzon, Fenerbahce, Genclerbirligi will come close but not yet enough power. But anything can happen injuries, player fights etc...

Rebrov is an awesome player, I'm so glad we can get player's like him into the Super Lig but then they go to Fener and want to leave when they sukk at the Champions League and Uefa Cup. This year all the blame is with Lorant for all that I don't blame the players because Fenerbahce has a strong team, but so do Galatasaray especially what I saw today this Lukunku misses a million chances but it was a fun game from Galatasaray, Revivo was awesome but the best player out there today was Ergun, no one passes like him he's great! Besiktas are still the better of both for now .

Fenerbahce beat Gaziantepspor 2-0 today, they look better without Ortega the diver, I never seen a player who dives more than him. He was never off the ground I can't believe he is considered a good player it was a mistake on Fenerbahce's part for buying him. Tuncay missed two perfect shots but he did score 1 Johnson scored a very nice goal in the second minute. Fenerbahce will still be in 3rd like moonstar said.

Fenerbahce is in turmoil, 5 players were dropped from the squad recently from Oguz Cetin's report, they were Abdullah(captain), Ogun(former captain), Yusuf Simsek, Oguz Daglaroglu(backup to Rustu) shit I forgot one but anyways it didn't help because they lost the following game to Altay 1-0. this marked the first time in history that Altay were able to beat Fenerbahce in Kadikoy.

Omg that was sooo embarassing 1-0 to Altay i could have died of shame! Buttt Oguz Cetin is resigning (yes!) lol and they are going to make a few transfers (Yildiray rumoured to be one of them plz let him come although after this years performance chances look FAT) Hoepfully Galatasaray win this year and i struggled to type that lol. I just dont think i could handle it if bjk won on there 100th anniversary :D because all the Bjk fans would rub it in my face.

Swedish international Andreas Andersson has today been connected to Fenerbahce. Next after Kanu in Arsenal he is second choise to be transfered before next season. Andersson, who scored the 2-1 goal for Sweden agains Turkey in the WC2002 qualifying game in Istanbul(?), are flatered but does´nt know anything more about the roumers. Andreas plays for AIK Solna in the swedish premier leauge and is a big star in the leauge, he played against Fenerbahce in the UEFA-cup in 2002.

Furthermore:Kennet Andersson appered on swedish television today and talked about his last game of his career, in Fenerbahce. He talk about his backproblems before the game and that the trainer told him that it was up to him if he wanted to play the last game. Offcourse he wanted, was the reply and he told the intervjuer that it was a very special game for him, with the great celebraition afterwards. He also claimed that the two years in Istanbul probably was the best in his career, atleest socially. And he admitted that he had shedd a tear or two afterwards when he realised that he never would play the beautiful game of fotball again...

No rest for Rüstü
Friday, 28 March 2003
By Türker Tozar

Rüstü dreams of displaying his skills for one of Europe's biggest clubs

Voted as goalkeeper for the uefa.com users' Team of the Year for 2002, Rüstü Reçber struggled in the early part of the season to replicate the superb form he showed at the FIFA World Cup finals for Fenerbahçe SK.

Back to his best
However, having finally shaken off his injury problems, Rüstü reckons he is back to his best and, as he told uefa.com, is hoping to make a dramatic move abroad to fly the flag for Turkish goalkeepers in Europe.

uefa.com: How do you feel about being elected to uefa.com's users' Team of the Year?

I would like to thank everybody who voted me as the best goalkeeper and showed their trust in me. It was a very prestigious thing

Rüstü Reçber

Rüstü Reçber: After Turkey's World Cup success, we were all aware that attention turned towards the Turkish players. Scouts have been watching and tracking us ever since. Of course, I was not expecting to be honoured with this place as there were a lot of famous names among the candidates. A Turkish goalkeeper has never been elected in this kind of a team before. I would like to thank everybody who voted me as the best goalkeeper and showed their trust in me. It was a very prestigious thing.

uefa.com: Has Turkey's success at the World Cup changed your life?

Rüstü: When we get old and look back we will have remarkable memories but I'm still in Turkey and playing for the club that I joined nine years ago. There's no change in that respect, but thanks to our performance I have been able to become known in Europe and in the world.

uefa.com: Do you think that Turkey can be similarly successful in UEFA EURO 2004™?

Rüstü: Our primary target is to secure a place in the finals by claiming first place in the group, but we have some obstacles on our road and the most important of them is England. I think the result of our match against England on 2 April will shape the group. The spirit in the national team squad is very similar to the summer - even better - and we continue to get positive results. Unfortunately, we have had a terrible record against England, but the latest generation of players wants to change this.

uefa.com: Fenerbahçe have had a disappointing season. How do you feel about your own performances?

Rüstü: The Fenerbahçe community is a very sensitive community. Your slightest success can be exaggerated and when you start to get negative results, criticism goes over the top. I had a back injury during the World Cup and I started the season without being totally recovered from that. I had no time to rest and we could not find enough time for treatment because of our full schedule. Sometimes I made big mistakes that were hard to forget. During the winter break, I found the time to rest and recover and started the second part of the season more ready than ever. I'm satisfied with my performance so far.

uefa.com: You are nearly 30 now. Do you have any particular ambitions for the future?

I have a dream that I would like to come true - to represent Turkey by playing at a top club which is famous worldwide

Rüstü on his ambition

Rüstü: I have a dream that I would like to come true - to represent Turkey by playing at a top club which is famous worldwide. It is not for myself it is on behalf of all Turkish goalkeepers because Turkey had no such goalkeeper before me that reached the level I reached. Arsenal [FC] and Manchester United [FC] are two of several clubs that are interested in me. I have always wanted to play in England, because I like the sporting culture there
