Shearer must be banned

U.E.F.A. must act now and ban Alan Shearer for his disgraceful behaviour last night.He blatantly elbowed Cannavaro in the face and then swung 360 degrees and gave him a full force blow to the back out the head,it is tribute to Cannavaro that he did not retaliate.This unprovoked attack is the latest a long line of acts of pure thuggery from the former England captain.His has escaped punishment for long enough,he blantantly kicked Neil Lennon in the face and Lennon was lucky to escape unharmed and then he kicked Ehiogu is the head, which lead to Ehiogu having to undergo a very serious and career threatening operation.These are just two of many incidents over the yeras,his elbow on Henchoz last year was another one(henchoz just laughed at him)

Shearer is without doubt a great player,but this type of thing is unacceptable,if it was any other player(except beckham,remember his elbow on bowyer)they would get suspended.Bellamy for example, barely touched Materazzi and got sent off.

And for Bobby Robson to come out and say he was being manhandled and was justified in his actions,is disgraceful.cannavaro had his arms circling Shearer and was not making much contact, so Shearer trys to maim him??

Do you think Shearers actions were justified??If you do there is something wrong with you.

without wishing to agree with a mackem (heaven forbid) shearer should indeed have been punished. his incident was as bad if not worse than craig's and craig got banned and fined. to not fine shearer is laughable and puts across the idea that one man is bigger than the team. still the club's decision is what counts. its time to put it behind us and concentrate on the other games. which we appear to have done thru the excellent display by craig at everton. and tru the villa game today :D :D :D

well id like to see lua lua being give a chance, not quite sure why hes been so far in the background of late. so him and shola i would have thought tho could se him going for dyer.

Yeah, I'd like to see Lua Lua take on the Barca defence:D , but Sir Bobby will no doubt play Shola because he poses more of physical presence up front.

The current defence of Barca is quite slow, (except Puyol), so the pace in our team will hopefully be an advantage
