Any Leverkusen fans?

As a Liverpool fan I have to be a Leverkusen fan, because the Leverkusen people like us (they even translated 'You will never walk alone' and sing it on matches). Any other likers of this sympatic team?

Than we are better, we sing the English version sometimes. Noyt that we are the only ones.

On the Leverkusen subject, they impressed me both with playing style and results. I can`t say I`m a fan of them, but I respect their accomplishments. I also enjoy watching matches of them, if broadcasted.

Last year was a big fan. But then they sold Ballack and Ze Roberto. THey bought some new players(Simak, Franca, Juan, Ojigwe) which can do as good, as Ballack&Ze did.

But they have one very funny situation; They´ve got more than enough money but not enough good players. But i liked their style of playing last year, because they were good, and should win CL, sor the Real did,... :(

But I think they are good, because they´ve gopt a lot of future german internationals as Bierofka and Balitsch,...

Leverkusen could be one of the best teams in Europe, but Bayern as usual ruin everything. The latter bring nothing but shame to German football. Leverkusen didn't have the choice - either they sell Ballack for 25 megs (+ purchase gift: Ze-Roberto), or they leave the Bundesliga, which (news to nobody) is owned by Bayern.

And besaid. FCB was intersted for Ballack already when ge got into a fight with coach in Kaiserslautern. But he said, he would like to be in first 11 on the court so he went to Bayern. And I think they bought him for just 6m, Ze roberto for 9m from Leverkusen,...

I am a big Leverkusen fan!I like them a lot because my favourite player is playing there-DIMITAR BERBATOV!On wednesday he scored against Barcelona but Leverkusen lost!:(

Ballack, Neuville and Schneider are the best players in Germany. Too bad they had to be seperated. And I think last year Leverkusen didn't win a title because of bad luck and good opposition. Unlike Dortmund who failed against an average team like Feyenoord.

I think your write there..
last year Leverkusen played brilliant football, and than made the mistake by selling Ballack AND Ze Roberto.....

But give Leverkusen another year or two and then they will be playin for the german title again....
They still have a very good team with good young players( Bieofka, Balitsch, Bastürk, Schneider and so on....)

Wait untill Nowotny is fit again and hell put the defence back in order

I felt sorry for them ,the season Bayern scored an injury time winner thru Patrik Andersson and won the Bundesliga title:mad: :mad:

But saying that, it was Leverkusen's fault. They should have had the title wrapped up long before the last day of the season

I hope they do well this season, except against my team Newcastle in the champions league:D

2001 was the year were bayern scored in injury time, and time that were champions for four minutes wasnt leverkusen it was schalke (my team)

Leverkusen had to get it. Because Dortmund won a game, they got a penalty that was no one.

I still dont understand how a referee can give 4 minutes extra time in a game, where there was no injured people or something...
he should have finished exactly on time.........

but as we all know, the refs in germany let bayern play so long, untill they have scored......... ;-)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

I grew up in england(isle of wight) and the first football match i saw live was Southampton vs. ManU.....so far so good..........
I was in the stadium with my stepdad(i always have hated him..) and he supports soton...as Manu won against them i decided to support ManU.........but since im back in germany i can hardly follow the premier league so i watch the Bundesliga..and because the schalke stadium is only half an hour from here i support schalke too.........and ive only got a ManU avatar, because i didnt found one from schalke

There are wrong decisions by the refs in many games. To say, Bayern pays for them shall only be the excuse of teams, playing so bad (Dortmund :p) ;)

Ok, i can understand, that some Fans are gettin´ angry, when there are always wrong decisions be the ref against their team.

I support Bayer Leverkusen because my favourite player Yildiray Basturk plays for them, pity their doing so bad this year but i still barrick for them. Im also a Liverpool fan coz i like Michael Owen and El Haji Douf but i don't understand why they are comming seventh for they were playing so well, what happened?

Leverkusen was definitely the best team in the world last season and undeservedly lost to Real Madrid in the CL final but this season it's completelydifferent. They sold Ballack and Ze Roberto which were their best players and after that long season last year the Leverkusen players are just exhausted. You have to consider that they played aver 70 games last season beeing in all possible european finals.

It wasn't ex-Derby player Schnoor who scored (He's at Wolfsburg with Stefan Effenberg) but Sebastian Schoof, a 18 (or 19) year old player brought up from Leverkusen second squad along with the interim coach Thomas Hörster.

I knew that would happen, Simak against his old club:mad: . He was 2nd division player of the year last season.

For Leverkusen so far , he's sadly looked like a 2nd division player, but it looks like the new coach has given him his confidence back

I think Leverkusen will go out with 0 points simply because they play B-Squads in the CL competition in order to concentrate on the League.

In response to robledo: Simak is a very, very complicated player. Discipline-wise and psychologically, I think the step ahead into a team that's not tailor-made for his style of play came at the wrong point in time. He should have stayed at Hannover one more year, before going elsewhere, b/c his development wasn't complete yet. Thus, he now has a lost year. I think he's a good player and can rebound from a weak season but it'll be tough, especially with Leverkusen unsure of whether they'll return to old strength next year or be as bad as this year.

I too am a very big Leverkusen fan. Although they kinda disappointed me last season now they are back in good shape. They deserved to win the Bundesliga many times but they always got 2nd place. Maybe this year will make a difference.
