What a sport he is, opens the way up for our younger guns. There will not be another Tugay I'll tell you that much he was a great midfielder. We will miss you Tugay. Hakan Sukur take example you greedy bastard. I guess we will see more Yildiray,Okan,Emre or even Cihan in there. Abdullah is also a good player but not on the shitty Fenerbahce with the nightmare coach. I never understood why Senol Gunes took Yildiray out anyways. He also says there still are going to be changes made before the England game. They are going to be training in LOS ANGELES!!!! Probably have an exhibition too I hope against the USA, maybe Mexico or even Brazil? That would be nice to see. I'll definitely be there. I'm dying to see Turkiye play LIVE IN PERSON!!!

Tugay was a class act (still is). I miss him already.
Really?? Kirmizi-Beyaz is coming to Los Angeles?!? My dad and I would DEFINITELY make the 300+ mile drive to see them.
When are they coming? WHY are they coming? I would LOVE to see them play in my own backyard...holy shit, I would consider my life complete if I got a chance to greet them and say 'hi'...and 'thanks'.

This is definately a classy move on Tugay's part. Might as well go out on top. He has done his job, and a great job at that. Class act, that Tugay is. Anyhow....they will be training in LA? cool. Too bad LA seems just as far away as Turkiye. COME TO THE EAST COAST! (preferably to play a game at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro MA!)
Anyways...gravesends....how quick was Yildiray taken out? I know he didnt play against Liechtenstein....and was taken out early against Macedonia...not a good move on Gunes's part, because Yildiray is probably one of their best players...

I dont know the exact dates but Fanatik.com.tr reports they will be training there. Yildiray gets taken out in the second half of games but still he can go all 90, it was weird seeing him get taken out in the World Cup though like at the 60th minute and shit.

Yeah, Senol did that a couple times in the earlier games...I remember Yildiray was SO pissed...Senol backed off after they talked about it. I never understood why he did it in the first place.
I will definitely keep track of their U.S. schedule...I'm telling every Turkish fan I know around here...we want a strong showing if they have any exhibition matches...man what I wouldn't give to see my two national teams play!
Just saw the Besiktas/Denizlispor match. Great come-from-behind win! Ilhan's still not 100% but Sergen's equalizer was TEXTBOOK! Pancu's goal was also nice...man, I gotta get Turkish TV one of these days.

The games are definitely worth it and the satellite itself costs $100. I say get it because some of the games are really fun to watch, by the way Nihat scored again for Real Sociedad to put them at the top of the Spanish League. So Turkish players can do well in Spain, forget going to Italian teams go to Spain. Last year Real Sociedad was on the brink of relegation and now they are tops!!

I wanted my dad to get it but my mom wouldn't let him...she says we'd do nothing but watch football or football news all day (she's right). I'm about to get my own apartment...if my landlord's cool w/ the satellite I'll probably get it myself...I also have to figure out my budget and see if it's economically feasible.
Yeah, man, Nihat's amazing. He's one of the best players in La Liga right now. I'm so happy for him...and for us! NT finally has the striker everyone complains we don't have (though I don't see how you can overlook Ilhan and Arif...or even Serhat). I just wish he'd stayed w/ US!!! If he clowns those spoiled, rich boys in Real Madrid on a regular basis I guess I could let it go...that would sort of make up for it.

dont feel bad....my parents wont get satellite (and the channels that play Turkish football) frankly, because they dont give a rat's ass about it...im really the only football fan in the house.
Is there any chance the Turkish team will be comming to the east coast? If so, i will be there (if its in the northeast coast...) You know what would be REALLY cool? Seeing Turkiye play a match against the LA Galaxy and Embarrass them in front of their home crowd.(AND they would run up the score like crazy) I Would like that quite a bit. (im a bitter Revolution fan) That probably wouldnt happen though. But it is very cool they are comming to America....i am glad they are comming....they are sure welcomed here in my book. I Would love to see them play the US though....love it...my 2 favorite national teams. I wouldnt know who to cheer for! (guess i could be neutral) If they play the US....Turkiye better watch out for a keeper by the name of Adin Brown....and a striker by the name of Taylor Twellman!

Lateralus, my heart goes out to you...I caught the conclusion of the MLS Cup today and wanted DESPERATELY for you guys to beat LA (my local team are the Quakes...we hate the Galaxy). You're right--that Brown's a hell of a keeper! I felt bad for him...
Still, you guys had a great season...better than we did!
I'm still sketchy on the details myself but if Team Türkiye comes anywhere near your area you can bet gravesends will know about it.

that game was heartbreaking! i was there, of course, and it was worse to actually have to see that ball cross the line in person. I felt sorry for Brown the most....he made some amazing saves. He is so good. The Revs played a good game, i thought though. Especally being the underdogs...they held their own against the Galaxy. They had a great season though...it was awesome seeing them go from worst to first in a matter of weeks. What a comeback. I am proud of them. I would have loved to see them beat the Galaxy. Man does Cobi Jones get the superstar treatment...seems every time he winds up on the ground (dive)...a Revs player got called for it whether it seemed like a clean tackle or not. The whole Galaxy team seemed to not be able to stay on their feet. Either the Revs are the dirtiest team in the MLS, and dont know how to do a clean tackle, or the Galaxy are the biggest divers i have seen in a while. I am leaning tward the latter. Good season though for the Revs....they did good.
