More good news besides beating Armenia, Ukraine tied Northern Ireland. While it was in Ireland, I think this helps us because it lets us control our fate. If we beat Armenia in Armenia and do the same to Northern Ireland, we will more than be able to make up the ground lost by our first two losses. We'll see how it goes, we are Greece after all.

keev, it is an uphill battle.
getting points in n. ireland and armenia will not be easy. and i am afraid that i do not have much faith in this team. however they owe it to us nd to themselves to try.
i have two problems with the NT right now-
their inability to convert chances to goals our big problem in the first 2 games, specifially with xaristeas, nikolaidis.
King Otto is NOT using the most in form players right now...
where is Zikos? the most in-form defensive mid- he is indispensible to his club, Monaco.
where is Katsouranis? the most in-form def- mid in the greek leagu.
where is kapsis? the most in-form greek CB?
why do they insist on using dabizas, zagorakis, and lakis in the lineup?
why so many players from PAO, who is in terrible shape near the bottom of the standings?

Rehhagel recognizes that if he keeps changing the team to include whoever is in form that the team will never be able to gel and the players will never get used to playing with each other. If he just adds whichever AEK player is laying well for a period of one month or so the team will never become better than it is new.
Zikos I can understand because he will develop into a fine player, but katsouranis and kasapis are both old and are only having small stints of success.
I was very disappointed with the performance vs Ukraine, I mean they didnt play schevchenko or rebrov... we shouldve beaten them handily, karagounis has been out of form for awhile (i think hes still injured) and vryzas/charisteas didnt do much, but I think this was because the midfiled played poorly (zagorakis and tsartas didnt show up). However we can still qualify because we can beat ukraine in Greece and Armenia tied Ukraine so we have somewhat of an advantage there.
I also see that Nikolaidis has squanderd many easy goals (notably vs Spain and Ukraine) he scored against Armenia, but still we need him to perform in big games and if he cant finish i would consider making someone else the primary striker.
