Bati's agent has said he is going to Roma 100%. I don't know about anybody else, but I thought he wanted to leave Fiorentina because he wanted to win a championship. Roma has a good team, but I don't think anyone really expects them to even get a CL spot, nevermind the scudetto next year. I think Bati is only shooting himself in the foot if he goes to Roma.

I think Roma with him and Montella up front with Totti behind them could challenge for the scudetto. They certainly stand more of a chance than Fiorentina.

yep, he's off to Roma, too bad. Fiorentina was a team that really fit him, he was great for them, and I dont think he is ever going to get the respect that he has got from Fiorentina's fans...anyway good luck Bati!

Batistuta left Fiorentina for 1 reason only, he could not stand the president. I heard him today say how we loved the team, how he will always be a fan and how he even bought a new house there. Fiore's president never brought the players he had promised Bati to win the scudetto.
In Roma not only did he get the best contract in professional soccer ($33 million for Fiorentina, 5.5 million for him a year)
But 2 things:
1) He is guaranteed a starting spot something he was not going to get at Inter or Lazio.
2) A promise of getting good players, they have already gotten Emerson from Bayer Leverkusen and his personal friend Balbo to follow him. Also expect another player maybe from Argentina.
In other news, Forbes just published its list of the 50th most wealthiest athletes and Batistuta was 15th. He was the first soccer player and according to them he earns $15 million a year with contract and all endorsments.

Thats intresting but playing for a club for nine years at fiorentina is a long time and we difinetly knew that he was going to move on
Yesterday Batigol was welcomed on Olympico, by 13000 Roma fans in Curva sud.
I think As Roma cuold win Scudetto next year
with Totti, Emerson, Batigol... but we also need one relyable goalkepper and maybee Bosnich could be good solution.
Forza Giallorossi!
Good luck to Batigol!
(And it is 7.4 million greens per year. The guy is worth every cent of it.)
He sure is! Every 1/100000 of a US $
