If something is characterizing Milan this year, is the serious offensive power they boast, with all those superstars on the pitch. The return of a certain Sheva after injury should make things even more complicated for Ancelotti to assemble a starting XI. Itīs obvious that someone has to go. but who?

Call me crazy if you want, but I think Rivaldo should be benched. He is, by far, the lowest performer this far in the attacking line.

Just play Sheva in Rivaīs position, and keep the formation as it is right now.

I dont think Sheva will take Rivaldo's place...probably Rui Costa will get Pirloīs place and Rivaldo will get Rui Costa's place and Sheva will get Rivaldo's place I think...

I tend to agree with Juan. Rivaldo has yet to deliver while Rui has been brilliant supplying Pippo and Pirlo has the defensive midfeild position locked down. With the rotation of players everyone should get significant oppurtunities.

Rui as a defensive midfielder? That simply canīt be.

I dont think Rivaldo will be a substitute, even thought he is playing bad he is a world class player..;)....and he is a player that is not easily benched...

Rivaldo may get upset if he is benched which is looking possible at this point. Ancelotti will have a difficult task keeping him happy while doing the best thing for the team.

I am sure Ancellotti will prefer to keep Rivaldo happy! :D

Dammit why does Pippo have to be in such form!?! If it was Rivaldo who's on fire atm we could've benched Pippo and be happy about it! I'm afraid that Ancelotti might bench Sheva, since he hasn't done too well under Ancelotti so far. :(

How could you complain about Pippo's good form? I think if Sheva and Pippo are both producing the goods and Rivaldo continues to struggle Ancelotti will have to bench him, no matter how highly he's rated or how much he complains. Sheva hasn't done so badly has he? He was injured last season and this season's Milan is much better than last years. If Pippo can score at this rate how devastaing could Sheva be if he comes back strong?

The thing is, Pippo's form makes it impossible to drop him. And dropping Rivaldo the self styled footballing royalty is a risky thing to do. And how can anyone consider leaving our goalscoring god Sheva out of the starting lineup? Ancelotti may drop Sheva anyway, but he could well rotate Rivaldo and Sheva I s'pose.

Or this even crazier idea: Leave Gattuso out, move Seedorf to the right flank, play Rivaldo in Seedorfīs position (I think he fits perfectly there), and Sheva and Pippo up front.

Of course, itīs a huge risk to leave a player like Gattuso out. Heīs the only one who runs and fights back balls.

I think Gattuso could be the one who gets the axe.

I disagree. Gattuso is an integral member of the squad. If they wanted the extra attacker they would already be playing Serginho on the left and Seedorf on the right. We will have to wait to find out but I think one of the strikers will have to be benched.

Here's a crazier idea than that. Nesta plays D, Maldini pushes up, we attack with 9 players!

As for me i think that starting 11 should be

-----------------------Dida-------------------------

---Simic------Nesta-------Maldini------Kaladze

Pirlo-------------------Gattuso-----------------Seedorf

-------------------------Rui Costa---------------------

----------Shevchenko---------------------Inzaghi

Serginho can be substitution for Seedorf and Rivaldo for Rui Costa.I put Rui because i think that Rivalso is not in good for and Rusi is playing like his old days in Fiorentina.
Also Tomasson is not in form but he and Boriello can be used like substitutions for pippo and Sheva
