Surely JRR will be playing. That was just a practice lineup. Perhaps he was testing out some of the players.

With this lineup we still can beat Lever, they stink and only reason they made it to 2nd stage was on bare goal difference.

I think Mendieta will be pushing forward to partner up with Kluivert while Xavi pulling the strings in the middle for those two. Rochemback should have a feast with the German mid which doesnt pose to much threat to our defence which looks preety solid.

BTW, They will be showing on ESPN here in the states. :D

So here we are again, with low spirits going inot Vigo a traditionally difficult place for any club. Vigo needs the win just as much as we do, but somehow LVG always seems to survive this situations.

I am betting on a much more attacking team, maybe Saviola and/or JRR in the initial 11.

I'm convinced that Barça will win this cause as barça said VanGaal always escapes these situations.

I'll go for a 1-2 hoping that the result of this game has nothing to do with VanGaal's fate which i'd like to think is to leave in the near future and take Gaspart with him.

Well its really hard to say what type of team Van Gaal is going to put out there. I remember him saying because we had Kluivert, Rivaldo and Figo he was much more comfortable putting out an attacking team. But now we still have Kluivert, and acquired Saviola, Mendieta AND Riquelme, the latter being one of the best attackers I have seen (I saw him play for Boca numerous times, I still can't believe he starts on the bench). At one point in time people used to say "If you have Riquelme, you don't need Rivaldo" So far, the cries to play Riquelme has fallen on deaf ears but i hope things turn around.

This is going to be one tough match and a complete nail biter for any cule. Espanyol have managed to draw Real, Sociedad and Deportivo and under Clemente seem to be heading out of the relegation zone. Putting us down there is the greatest motivation they could need as the players have been saying all week. But Barcelona have become so bad that they can't get any worse. Reason for my name calling (no excuse, just reason) I have never liked the team, I always thought that they did not handle an American kid that I rellay liked well, Landon Donovan, since them I kind of never cared for them.
