Rumour is Okon is set to be named for Leeds squad. Although I hate Leeds and their attitude towards our national team players is well known I think it is good to see him back at the elite level. It is not a good sign for our national team when the Captain isn't playing in the top flight. A move back to the continent I think would be better for him though.

Okon should be playing in Italy I reckon, he was at his best when he played for Lazio (well maybe not Lazio) and Fiorentina, Leeds is a bad option for Australia, 'cause even with Venables in charge I doubt they'll release them for Socceroos duty.

While Leeds may not be ideal I still think it is better than Watford or another first division club. I can only assume Okon is keen to stay in England for family reasons.

Other good news is that Scott Chipperfield will sign for Charlton Athletic as soon as he recovers from injury. I cannot believe a player of his talent wasn't playing in one Europe's top leagues. When he played for Wolves he was brilliant (I think even player of the year??) and while Emerton is attracting big dollars, Chipper went for a reletively small sum.

I don't think it is his choice. The problem is Feyenord or holding out for more money. I am suprised his price is so high considering they were using him as a full back for a big chunk of the season.

I think Feyenoord's asking for 8-9 million and no one's paying more than 6-7, it's one million, c'mon Feyenoord just sell the bastard!

Limiting his sights on only the premier league is not helping his chances. If he stays won't he be playing with Linsay Wilson (is that is name) from Olympic Sharks?
