08/07/2002. While all the world's attention is focused on the Ronaldo saga, Inter are about to seal most surprising move of this summer's transfer market as they are set to sign Italy defender Fabio Cannavaro from Parma, who appeared to be already in the hands of AC Milan.

The news is being confirmed by Inter's official website, who have yet to disclose the financial agreements.

Sources close to SoccerAge.com are revealing that Inter stole Cannavaro from their city rivals by dishing out 20 million Euros to the Emiliani, and offering a 4 year contract to the player who will earn the same amount of money he made at Parma.
