I saw him play against Ireland in the WC play off and he was good, very quick and skillful but i think he has now retired from International football.

I think you might be thinking of Ali Daei, I beleive he retired or Karim Bagheri, becasue of one or both of them retired after they qualify for WC.

Hi all,

To all people who don't know Ali Karimi, Id like to say that he is playing in UAE League in Al Ahli Club in Dubai,

He is playing behind the strikers. He is a great player. when he have the ball, at least 2 or 3 players go and try to take the ball from him, and when have the ball the staduim start to be like hell, all the fans start to support him, so he don't disappoint his fans and he starts to show his amazing skills, and he can give the team easy goals and pinalties. just give him the ball and wait for a goal or pinalty kick. when he plays you think that you are watching snake moving.

it is his second year in the team and he is staying another 2 years.

lately
many europian teams try to win his signiture, but he prefered to stay in Dubai.

Today the german football paper "KICKER" brought up an article over 2 pages about Ali Karimi inwhich they announced that Real Madrid and Olympique Marseille are trying to buy him.

Karimi I would suggest he move to top notch European team so he can hone is skills. I would not suggest Mars because they arn't that great and the coach at Real isn't that impressive either. Iran is the best team in Asia and are you talking about this World Cup or the last one, because at this moment they are on top of their group.

I cannot believe a reputable magazine is linking Karimi to some of Europe's giant clubs. I just hope he choses wisely because he cannot become a bench warmer like Hashemian has become.

I would rather Karimi go to an english club and be a starter so he can work on his forward skills. I know he played for an english team once and did not like it. I don't like the fact that Iranian players seem to always head to German clubs. I would rather him go and play for a team like umm i can't think of one right now maybe liverpool.

Just Watch Ali Karimi in Germany 2006 - you will see he IS the second Maradona !
Karimi had many offers from top clubs in spain, england, italy and germany, but he is fed up with football, his familly don't like football. it's a shame, with his talents. if you see what he can do, you will say he is the best player of the world.
sure you have zidane, you have ronaldo and many other who dribble very wel, but they can do it when they are standing still, Karimi is one of the few, and the best who can dribble you crazy on high speed run.
believe me he is great !!!
shame that he can't go furthur with his fammilly situation, and shame that he is playing in a very bad arabic league, but it's for the money.
good luck to you all and just watch Iran, and specially KARIMI on 2006 Germany.

hi Guairo

im behrooz from iran.just wanted to tell you a bit more about asian maradona.
there is no one in asia who can pass through players like him.
he is the best on the ball and he is also really quick and trickery.
fifa nominated him for best asian football player in 2004.
he is 28 and he is playing for al-ahli in UAE.he also had some offer from athletico madrid and some other clubs from italy but he wanted to stay in UAE.
his cost in world football transportation is 4.5 million euro which is amazing for such asian player.we all are proud of him.
thanks
