CLUBS WORLD RANKING:

2. Bayer Leverkusen (Germany) 304,0
3. Bayern Munich (Germany) 286,0
4. Deportivo (Spain) 273,0
5. Liverpool (England) 273,0

7. Barcelona (Spain) 260,0
8. Manchester United (England) 260,0
9. Glasgow Rangers (Scotland) 250,0
10. Juventus (Italy) 247,0.
For a fifth time in its history and for a third consecutive month, Real Madrid stands as the best club in the world according to the ranking made by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics. Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich stand below the Spanish team on this world level podium. In considering the results from the past twelve months, there have been certain changes in the standings compared to last month's, although many teams did not play any game in June, with all the national tournaments finished before the World Cup.
This circumstance has cut down to 33 points Real Madrid's advantage over second placer Bayer Leverkusen, the other Champions League finalist.
Last month's 5th-placer Brazilian Gremio has now dropped out of the top ten positions, whereas Glasgow Rangers has climbed to the ninth position.
The top ten positions are now taken by three Spanish teams -Real Madrid (1), Deportivo Coruņa (4) and Barcelona (7)-, three English -Liverpool (5), Arsenal (6) and Manchester United (8)-, two German -Bayer Leverkusen (2) and Bayern Munich (3)-, one Scottish -Glasgow Rangers (9)- and one Italian -Juventus (10).
France, despite not having a squad among the top ten, remains as the leading country in the 'Top 100' with eight teams, although it is closely trailed by Spain, Italy, Brazil and England with seven representatives.
