As we had a thread about best league we might aswell have one on best team. At the moment there's no doubt who I consider to be the best scandinavian team. M A L M Ö F F!!! They are on there way to a new era of greatness. We are in top (same points as Landskrona...) of the league with a wonderful team and we have just signed a new player.
MATTIAS ASPER!!!
Now we only need a defender or two to be able to win Champions league in next year!

Landskrona is having a great season!!!!
but I think that the best team is Rosenborg :(

Are Lillestrom a good team? They could play my team Newcastle in the Champions League qualifier if they overcome Zeljenicar of Bosnia. Could they cause an upset or would Newcastle steamroller them?:D

Im not that good at Norwegian football but I really dont think Lilleström will pose any bigger threat to your CL-dreams. But you never know... Stranger things has happened!

That's good to hear. I also heard Lillestrom are struggling against relegation this season so I hope they concentrate on staying up instead of trying to beat my team!
By the way , Andreas Andersson was one of the worst ever signings for Newcastle United. He was a disaster! I hear he's doing well for AIK though

Andreas Andersson was really, really hot before he joined AC Milan, I believe he scored 5 goals in two consecutive games just before they signed him! But then all his confidence was lost at Milan and when Newcastle signed him he couldnt hardly pass the ball. But hes really good now and was that in the WC to. He will probably leave soon for some bigger club.
Lilleström are currently 9th placed (out of 14) with less than half the points of leaders Lyn (lillestrom 16 p/ 16 games - Lyn 34 p/15 games).

I think the best team right now is Rosenborg, becasue they do well in CL, and always qualify for it.
But my favorite scandinavian team is probably AIK Solna.
I have a Q for you guys....... do you know which team used to play in 96 CL, and beat Milan, its was a good team, and they were from Sweden???

It was IFK Goteborg??? cool...... presently the best team i think is Rosenborg but history wise than its probaly Malmo FF
BTW, in that CL game Goteborg had a great striker, he had long hair and wore a white head band, he scored a few against Milan, anybody know him too???? :D

This is too easy. It was Andreas Andersson who after Milan left for Newcastle where he neither was a success. Then he returned to Sweden and AIK (your favourites). He was really good in the WC and might be able to snatch a regular place in Swedens NT.
But he isnt the best striker in Allsvenskan, because that is Malmö attacker Peter Ijeh (Nigeria). He has 18 goals in 15 games so far and I wonder how long we are allowed to keep him.

Since we had alot of smaller countries in our group it got a bit confusing and I usually mixed the teams up. Macedonia, Moldavia
and Azerbajdzjan are all like a blur to me. But I do remeber the last game where Sweden won 1-0 over Azerbajdzjan and Zlatan scored. They were pretty ok the Azerbajdzjan team, but Sweden was better.

Zlatan didnt score in that game, it was played in Azerbaijan and Magnus Svensson scored, but Zlatan scored in the 3-0 win in Sweden.

Do you know Zaur Tagizade??? Well anyway during that game he terrifed the flanks, and especially against Mellberg, and after the game Tommy Soderberg praised alot about him ;)
I agree Rob our NT is preety small but we make that up with speed but we still struggle against taller teams :(

I dont now the name of that player....
I dont now the name of Azer players...
your team will develop sooner or later...the play against the best teams of the world...loosing to big things is not bad...that will made them better...
example Finland and Iceland they were minnowns in the 90's and now they r not class teams but they r good teams....

I am getting a bit unsure about Mellberg though. As right back (where he shouldnt play as we all know) he has been too easy to get by. The thing that worries me is that if he cant stop players on the side can he really do in when its time for him in the middle. Perhaps he just needs the security to be back in his real position to do better in the NT, because he has always been great in his clubs.

I have notice that too he did a bad WC but instead of the other 3 defenders...(Mjällby,Jakobsson,and Lucic)were awesome
I hope Mellberg can get his club form in the NT...but he will continue playing that positon I think :( beacuse P.Andersson will return soon...
