Inter should sign Alessandro Nesta on Monday as Brazilian World Cup star Kleberson has solved the last negotiation problems.


The Nerazzurri have long had the upper hand in talks for the Lazio captain, but the deal was not completed due to disagreements over which player would be handed over as part of the £37m bid.


The Biancocelesti had requested Cristiano Zanetti, but were only offered Sergio Conceicao. If Inter can capture 23-year-old midfielder Kleberson then the move can go through.


The Brazilian currently plays for Atletico Paranaense and would cost approximately £7m to take to Serie A.


Meanwhile, Juventus General Director Luciano Moggi has added further confirmation to these reports.


“I think Nesta and Fabio Cannavaro will change clubs this summer,” said the transfer guru. “The Lazio captain will definitely join Inter.”


When asked about Parma star Cannavaro Moggi would only say, “No comment.”


There is confusion, however, over an interview Nesta gave to the press as he set off on a yachting holiday around Naples.


The defender was reported as saying, “Inter and Lazio have an agreement.” However, his agents GEA claim this is impossible as Nesta is on holiday in the Maldives.


I hope Kleberson joins another club other than Inter so that Nesta will not join Inter

Laziomania.net are now claiming that news they had previously reported about Alessandro Nesta, concerning an alleged statement he made in which he suggested that a deal between Lazio and Inter over him had already been struck, was made up by the source they received it from.

"Nesta is far away from Italy, on holiday, and has not released any comments on his future or regarding the transfer market," read an update on the Biancoceleste's leading English language fansite.

Whether Nesta made the comments or not is subject to debate. Regardless, most Italian pundits believe that a blockbuster deal between the two Italian giants has already been struck and that it will officially be announced at the beginning of next week.

I doubt Nesta will go, and if he does, I think other players like Simeone, Lopez and/or Mendi will go before him

Lazio President Sergio Cragnotti has admitted that Alessandro Nesta’s move to Inter is almost complete.

Cragnotti met his Inter counterpart Massimo Moratti in Milan on Monday to iron out financial terms for the defender even if problems still exist.

"Alessandro Nesta at this present time belongs half to Lazio and half to Inter," revealed Cragnotti. "By the end of the week everything should be finalised."

The Nerazzurri are believed to have offered £18.6m and striker Nicola Ventola for the player.

However, Lazio boss Roberto Mancini doesn’t want the forward, insisting that he would prefer midfielder Cristiano Zanetti included in the deal. A sacrifice that Inter boss Hector Cuper is not willing to make.

The San Siro giants have also offered defender Marco Materazzi, Sergio Conceicao, Javier Farinos and midfielder Emre but all were rebuffed by Lazio officials.

Talks are set to continue and once a player exchange has been agreed, the deal should be concluded.

Nesta’s proposed move to Inter should see Juventus, who were also interested, look to open talks with Parma over Fabio Cannavaro.

At this point of time , i dread the outcome . But i feel that if Nesta leaves , we have solved one problem but created another at the same time . We can give a chance to ola but lose the best defender in the world . But should nesta leave , i will respect his decision and face it bravely .
