He'll get what's coming to him, just like Domi, Goma, Dumas, Guivarch and the rest of the French Loser Legion. Isn't it surprising that Robert's around?

Can't wait til the opening day.

I thought Bernard would've come out and apologized, but what does he do? He and his agent go out and appeal against the tribunal's decision. http://icnewcastle.icnetwork.co.uk/newcastleunited/news/page.cfm?objectid=12000549&method=full&siteid=50081

Must be something about Newcastle that causes Frenchmen to lose their brains and do stupid things. It doesn't make sense with Bernard, Distin went for money that's probably understandable he's a moron then but Bernard wanted first team football, and he's going to get that next season. As soon as he starts breaking into the first team he wants out for first team football, that's just plain illogical.

With Bernard surely on his way out, I wonder if SBR will make a renewed bid for Wayne Bridge for 6m. I'd love to see him take that left back slot.

If not him, possibly Wilifred Bouma of PSV would do a good job.

btw, there's speculation of renewed interest in Solano's International team mate Martin Hidalgo, who is left back for Peru supposedly

I heard about the Hidalgo, but I thought that was just a rumour because Nobby and Hidalgo are great mates and stuff like that. Bernard was part of the future Newcastle featuring Jenas, Chopra, Dyer, Viana and all those other superstars but now he's gonna playing mid table football for the next 10 years.

a new 3 year deal for Bernard, he must've had a change of heart (or a few more £££ thown his way). He's not exactly my favourite player right now, but he's our best left back. Not exactly hard when you've got Elliot and Quinn as your major competition

Curse you Robledo you beat me to it!

Bernard probably realised what a big mistake he's making and fired his advisers and negotiatedhis own deal. This was probably just a ploy to get higher wages from Newcastle his advisers devised and it backfired on them miserably.

HA HA HA, I was just waiting for these comments from Bernard

"I'm glad to be back and things have never been better"

"I always wanted to return to St James's Park and whatever the supporters may have read about me was wrong. I have always enjoyed a good relationship with the manager, the chairman and my team-mates and nothing changed over the summer.

Who believes him?!:D I expected him to say his words were somehow mis interpreted thru the French press.:silly:

Apparently he was in the West Indies and didn't make any comments.....
