Don't know his style, but he has played in Italy. From what I know he isn't too bad a player. I think he's a bit older though. He does have a fan site oddly enough.

Gammarra is much better.

it is almost impossible for a team like AEK to replace a player like gamarra with equal or better value- simply because he is an undervalued player- and he is one of the best CB's in the world.

however, i found out that kreek is not a CB but a def midfielder- so the comparison doesn't hold.

Why on earth did let Gamarra go on a free. VERY bad business from a club with their financial standing in Europe.

we signed him on a one year contract. after that, they did not agree on terms and he decided to leave. you see gamarra is now 31 years old, and he maybe has 2-3 years of football left in him. his dream is to play for one of the major european clubs- like inter. a plyer of his class and skill could easily make it with any club. and while he liked aek, and aek will be in the champions league and we run for the championship every year and we are decent in europe- its different.

I think AEK are good, don't get me wrong. I still think despite his age they should have tried to keep him around. I always think it's bad business to let a player leave on a free. That's why I hope Barca tie down Rivaldo to a few more seasons, otherwise sell him.

you're right- its just better business to do it that way.

ok i'm back for more questions.

it seems that aek wuill be signing another dutch defender. the name is regilio vrede- he plays for roda (he's dutch-surinamese)

my problem is this: he is 2.00m tall!! that's too tall to be an effective all around defender, right? i mena, how fast and versatile can he be? maybe he is only good to defend crosses...

can anyone that's seen him play tell me about his game?
