Has there ever been a coach as stupid in a WC as Roger Lemerre was for France this year?

Ruud Gullit for Newcastle. Marco Tardelli for Inter. Oh and Graham Taylor for England. They come close but I s'pose what Lemerre did with France does kinda top it all.

The football (soccer football) coach teacher person from high school who didn't pick me. :D

Kevin Keegan of England
Zaccheroni of Lazio
George Burley of Ipswich

Marcelo Bielsa of Argentina. If Roy Keane was a coach?

The Italian coach for this WC has been pretty damn thick.

i got one, how about STEVE SAMPSON-USA. got them 32nd out of 32 in the 1998 world cup, played the famous 3-6-1 formation against Germany, what an idiot!!

Oh well looks like Ipswich noard agree with u not me - Burley been sacked - an absolute travesty. I think the new transfer wiondow is putting more pressure on coaches. It used to be possible to have a clear out during the season and try an implement a new team if you decide the players u hav are simply not good enough - this isn't an option anymore

What about Mancini with Fiore?
But I agree, Trap with Italia
And all the others.

You all seem to have forgot the great Christian "What are tactics?" Gross, when he was at Spurs

Spurs players (and the english media) never respected Gross - basel players listen to him - can you imagine Sperz knocking liverpool out of the CL - or even getting anyway near it??

There are also people who make great Assistant Managers, but never quite make it as the real thing, e.g. Brian Kidd @ Blackburn

There is no doubt about it- the worst manager in last years world cup had to be Mick McCarthy. Due to his ignorance and stupidity, we missed out on reaching a World Cup final!
