I honestly love the guy, he's still one of my favourites, but it seems like he's been getting a little bit of favouritism. He played alright this past season, but not good enough to be a starter on Juve if you ask me. If he doesn't perform next season, I think that'll be it for him.

The injury ahs really affected him and i do agree that he is not the same but i still have faith!

If he only scored that last time..that last chance that he got....that was like a 100% chance...

Italy would have won....

You just knew it would be either France or Holland taking the cup. Maybe I've been a little naive, but I always liked to think that the games aren't rigged, I guess I love the game so much that I didn't want to believe it, even if it seemed that way.

But now I have no doubts about it, and it makes me sick to my stomach.

i read on italian soccer.com that alex feels guilty about the chances hat he missed and really i still cant believe it we lost. This defeat makes you hate people like zidane and trezeguet!

I should think he feels guilty about them. Two sure goals that he missed. DP is still a very talented player, but I think he lost his feel for goal a long time ago. He can play in the playmaker role, but not as a striker unless he gets that touch back.

He'll get as many chances as it takes. That's what it looks like anyway. I don't care what Juve does with him, but there's no more room for him on the NT.

it all depends on this season and if del piero gets his form even the next national team coach will beg for him i still have faith in alex.... ok at the moment his not at his best but like moggi said i few more kilos being burned off will make him better

FORZA ALEX!

I AGREE WITH WHAT EVERYONE HAS SAID IT IS VERY SAD TO SEE A GREAT PLAYER HAVE SUCH BAD LUCK BUT PEOPLE THE GAME WAS NOT RIGGED IT WAS A VERY HARD FOUGHT BATTLE AND THIS IS NO DISRESPECT I AM A HUGE ITALIAN FAN AND WAS PULLINGFOR THEM BUT THEY WERE NOT EXPECTED TO GET TO THE FINAL AND THEY PLAYED WELL ENOUGH TO WIN BUT THE GOT BEAT AND THATS THE WAY THE GAME GOES AS FOR ALEX I HOPE HE GETS WELL BECAUSE WHAT IS A JUVE-INTER GAME GONNA BE WITHOUT ALEX AND RONALDO ???

U ARE PARTIALLY RIGHT BUT IF THEY WERE NOT EXPECTED DOESNT MEAN JUST GO OUT THERE AND PLAY IF U LOSE U LOSE IT REALLY MEANS U HAVE A CHANCE TO PROVE TO URE CRITICS AND OTHERS A TROPHY IN ITALY WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER AS THE FRENCH WERE NOT ONLY LUCKY AGAINST MANY TEAMS IN THE PAST BUT ALSO SHOULD AND BOASTED THERE LUCK IN THE ITALY MATCH. ALTHOUGH ITALY HAD A SLICE OF LUCK AGAINST HOLLAND THAT DOESNT MEAN THAT NO TEAM EVER HAS IT. ALL I AM SAYING IS THAT FRANCE WERE LUCKY AT THE END OF THE DAY AND ITALY SHOULD HAVE CAME IN TO THE MATCH ON A REVENGE KINDA MISSION RATHER THAN JUST A FINAL

no doubt i did not mean in in that way i am not saying that italy should have just gone out there but what i am saying is not many people expected them to reach the final without vieri and i really think that had vieri been there italy would have one i am not saying the whole team relies on vieri but he is very capable of contrdicting a game and i would like to say i was very impressed with delvechicco he played very well and was unlucky that his goal could not win it for italy and yes france was lucky inthe world cup against italy and in the euro final the image that stick in my mind from the WC match was when robbie had a villey that missed by inches in golden goal and after he missed he showed with hands that he had just barely missed and i think baggio deserved to be on the euro team he is still a great player and i hope like hell he stays at inter

FORZA ITALY
FORZA BAGGIO

I agree that vieris absesnce was really an upset and yeah i remember baggios miss it was soo close i cannot forget that. In many ways we did need vieri as vieri gives the team strength and finishing and many other qualities but what the hell we reached the final and who knows we may do one step better in world cup with vieri back :)
