So what's with this whole Radiohead song deal? How long is it going for?

I missed a few days, so here goes:

I'll go with "Walking In My Shoes" by Depeche Mode as the dozzer made me think of 'em. This was my favourite album when it came out and was the beginning of a sort of musical reformation for me. I saw the Songs of Faith and Devotion tour for each leg in the States.

"Babasonicos" from Ian Brown.

Radiohead songs:

Since i've previously chosen my favourite Radiohead songs long ago in this thread, ("How to Disappear Completely", "Pyramid Song") i'll not choose them again. I don't think I ever chose "Karma Police" though, so that's one. My other choice is "Exit Music".

I missed a few days so I'll take a few, "Heavy Metal Drummer" (Looney's dream job ;) by Wilco. Also "England, Half English" by Billy Bragg & the Blokes on the terrific album of the same name.

Rubber Soul is my favourite.

Well, I get two today. Seeing as how some of you have started Beatles week early (on the calenders in America the week begins with Sunday), I may as well join in.

"Things We Said Today" for Hard Day's Night. This one is on our current CD at work.

"Hey Bulldog" from Yellow Submarine. Just a really fun tune. I love the laughter at the end of this along with the guitar work.

BEATLES WEEK CONTINUES...

"We Can Work It Out". Just one of many examples of a song by them that not only sounds great, but has fitting and great lyrics. All too often, songs sound nice but lack the lyrics to back up the music. Also, I love the way the song changes speeds. The accordian is a nice touch too.

Well, seeing as how Roman has stole my posting thunder with his three choices... :fed-up: I get 3 today. One for yesterday and two for today's BONUS. I'm taking 3 from Revolver today:

"Taxman" I love this one. Nice harmonies, great theme that used then current events in England at the time and cool guitar work. Great way to start off the album.

"For No One" Changing gears a bit with this one. Sort of melancholy this one, but very beautiful.

"Tomorrow Never Knows" :P to Roman. This one was just amazing for it's time IMO. This one is my sitar choice for this week too. I love the fact that they used sitars. I love the role of the sitar in this one too. Not to prominent, but it's effects are felt all the same. Some great sounds in this one.

You know guys, I think we could have another Beatles week again a few months down the road. This is tough making choices, especially considering I chose "Norwegian Wood" and "Oh Darlin'" some time back in this thread.

Yes they did an opening set but it was short, I'm hoping the Lips will do a headlining tour for the Yoshimi material in the new year. The pairing with Beck worked at times, on a few of the older songs like "One Foot in the Grave" & "The New Pollution" it sounded great. Yet I would've preferred to see the new songs played with the Sea Change studio band.

"No Rain" by Blind Melon today. I used to love this one. I still like it. Came across it in my jukebox.

I know what you're saying, Coltrane went crazy in the last few years before his death in 1966, did you know he actually had his front teeth grinded down to fit the sax mouth-piece? The later records Trane put out were not easy listening by any means, very challenging to say the least. But he is a legend on par with Miles Davis & Sun Ra as the greatest jazz musicians.

"My Favourite Things" by the John Coltrane Quintet.

I just remembered that there is a jazz musician who I've liked for years...Charlie Mingus! I heard "Pite canthropus erectus" (not sure about the spelling) when I was something like twelve and instantly liked it.
So that's my choice for today.

But I promise it's my last jazzy choice ever!

Noooooooooo...
I don't know which I dislike more, that awful joke of a tune, or Christina itself.
The bitch is such a fake...and with no style. How can anyone think she's hot? Besides, with that amount of make-up anybody would look like a freak.
Even Britney was better.

For today: Carole King - "It's Too late"...once upon a time it was expected to make some MUSIC to top the charts!
